Teen Night: Solid Gold @ Brooklyn Museum

Join us for the second Teen Night of 2025, where art and activism shine through the theme of gold! Inspired by Solid Gold, an exhibition celebrating the beauty and impact of gold in art, fashion, and design, the evening will feature art-making, performances, and more.

This event is free and open to teens ages 14–19. Registration is encouraged, and follow #bkmteens on Instagram and Facebook for more details.

Teen Night is organized by the Teen Night Planning Committee, part of our paid teen internship program in public programming.

Performance: Laura Ortman

Experience an immersive soundscape by violinist and composer Laura Ortman (White Mountain Apache). Presented in conjunction with The Brooklyn Artists Exhibition, Ortman’s work reflects on the concept of home. The soundscape incorporates recent field recordings from Brooklyn—captured between the Brooklyn Museum and her home on Flatbush Avenue—and blends them with live, improvised music featuring Apache violin, bells, whistles, voice, tambourine, and triangle.

Share the Toy: Fifth Annual Toy Drive and Giveaway

Spread the holiday cheer by joining our 5th Annual Toy Drive! From November 21 to December 15, drop off new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0–14 at the Admissions Desk.

On Sunday, December 15, from 11 AM–2 PM, pick up gifts for your little ones while supplies last. Remaining toys will be donated to local family shelters.

Free and open to all, in partnership with the Kinnect Foundation.
